We are very fortunate at St John’s to have a number of visiting music teachers offering a wide range of individual instrumental and vocal lessons.

We are pleased to welcome Mrs Walker who will be teaching singing to KS2 pupils.

Please be sure to clearly state which instrument your child would like to learn.

I will then contact you to let you know if there is a space available for your child, or if there is a lot of interest, we will begin waiting lists.

The following teachers currently have spaces for new pupils:

Mrs Alexandre: Strings (Violin, Viola, Cello)

Mr Fish: Brass (Trumpet, Cornet, Trombone)

Mrs Hanna: French Horn and piano

Mr Harper: Clarinet

Ms Longhurst: Piano and harp

Mrs Walker: Singing

The cost for lessons is £13.34 for 20 minute lessons and £20 for 30 minutes.

This is a very competitive rate. Instruments can be hired from Kent Music via school at a very reasonable rate for the year (most instruments for around £24 a year) or some teachers have their own instruments available for loan or hire. 

We are so lucky to have such fantastic musicians offering lessons at St John’s. I hope many children will make the most of this opportunity.
