Over the past 5 weeks Jess, Henry, Huey and Amelie have been learning to sail at Chipstead Lakes, working towards achieving their level 1 sailing qualification. As the weeks progressed they learnt to use the rudder to turn the boat, get the rigging ready before they set sail, learnt how to tie a figure of 8 knot and learning how to capsize safely. Although capsizing was fun the water was very very cold! Jess’s favourite part was losing control of the boat and going round and round in circles.

All of them had great fun and have gained their level 1 qualification.
