On Wednesday 5th June, 11 pupils from Year 2 and 3 competed in an athletics event at Sevenoaks School. The pupils had to compete in either a throwing event or a running race and then in a relay at the end. 

George came 3rd overall in the shot putt. Melina managed to do 90 speed bounce jumps in 30 seconds and therefore came 3rd overall. Finally, Megan came 1st in the 200m middle distance race. 

Special mention to Mia, who won her heat. However, this did not mean that she was an overall winner. She showed amazing maturity and sportsmanship by clapping the eventual winners of her race. 

All athletes competed to the best of their ability and should be proud of the resilience and sportsmanship they showed.
