Wednesday 22nd January

On Wednesday 22nd January, a team of 6 pupils from Year 5 and 6 went to play in the Sevenoaks School Water Polo tournament. After a 10-1 thrashing to Chevening we quickly worked out our tactics. As a team we decided that a 2-2-1 formation would work best for us, always leaving someone goal hanging! We then proceeded to beat Anthony Roper 6-0, bet Amherst 4-0, beat Ightham 3-0, beat St George’s 7-3 and finally beat Kemsing 4-0. As the results were announced, it soon became clear that we were going to be in the top three! As it, turns out the top three positions were only decided on goal difference and goals scored! This eventually meant that we came in third place due to us having a heavy defeat in our first game. The Water Polo team consisting of Harry, Rory, Ivan, Mats, Emily and Rachel should all be very proud of themselves.
