Can you tap your name like this: Mis-sus Ha-nna.  (my name has 4 taps)

Ask others in your family to do the same……

Have you noticed how loud the bird song is in your garden at the moment? I find it very beautiful…….

Can you spread your wings and fly around (in the house, or maybe there might be more space outside in the garden, if your grown up doesn’t mind coming out with you…)

Can you think of a sound that would remind you to fly like this?…..it could be a tapping sound on something small perhaps…What do you have at home that you could use…?  …..I might tap 2 teaspoons together to get my tinkley sound….

Ask your grown up to play this sound and you do the bird flying movement.

-In contrast, can you pretend to be like an elephant, that moves very slowly and heavily……….

What household object could your grown up use to remind you to move like this…?  A wooden spoon on a big upside down plastic lunchbox worked well for me when I was experimenting with sounds…..

Now, as last week, ask your grown up play to remind you to move high (bird) or low (elephant), but not to tell you which one they are going to do. You need to listen and move accordingly!!!

Now… Do you remember creeping on tiptoes very quietly, and marching loudly with your knees up and swinging your arms last week, while you listened to loud and quiet sounds?

Just have a little practice to remind yourself, (and your grown up).

You now have 4 sounds: Loud/Quiet, and High/Low.

Test yourself, and ask your grown up to play the 4 sounds, and see if you can move accordingly. Maybe ask a sibling, or someone else in your family to try as well. Phew! Well done !
