Class 5 is taught by Mrs Grimble, supported by teaching assistants Mrs Baillache, Mrs Barnet and Mrs Bennett.
This year we begin to prepare the children for greater independency in their learning. They learn to become more independent, focussed, mature and responsible learners. The children begin to take an active role in our own learning, developing their curiosity and questioning, whilst developing critical thinking skills.
A highlight in Year 5 is a residential trip in the Summer to Herefordshire, where the children engage in team-building and other physical activities, whilst having a experience of being away from home, in preparation for the residential trip in Year 6. Additionally, it is in Year 5 that children take a major role in the Harvest Festival and other church events.
We look forward to watching your children grow both academically and emotionally as they learn through the year. We invite you to read our class blog to find out more about life in Class 5.
