Class 3 is taught by Mrs Turner and Mrs Clark, supported by teaching assistants Miss Howe, Mrs Askew and Mrs Connell.
This year we begin the transition to Key Stage 2. We learn how to become more independent and build confidence in ourselves as responsible learners.
The highlights in Year 3 are the Big Barbican Workshop, a ‘cross-arts day’ where the children experience all art forms including art, drama, movement, music, animation and spoken word. We will be visiting the theatre in London during the year to see the much acclaimed production of Matilda, a Roald Dahl classic. Back in the classroom, this inspires and enhances our literacy work.
Additionally, in Year 3 children learn to play the recorder and are privileged to receive their first sessions of horse riding and stable management held at the stables in Bitchet Green.
We look forward to watching your children grow into independent, enthusiastic and confident learners. We invite you to read our class blog to find out more about life in Class 3.
