School Clubs

We offer a wide range of extra-curricular clubs which take place before school, at lunch times and after school. A Breakfast Club and After School Care Club are run every day.

” The extraordinary extra-curricular programme supports learning really well..”.. Ofsted 2016

High quality clubs and activities are an essential part of school life. They provide opportunities to enrich children’s experiences beyond the curriculum and are an excellent medium to foster good relationships between staff, pupils and parents. They develop children’s social skills by providing a forum of interaction between children across different ages and schools. Clubs and activities are matched to our staff’s expertise and interest and make the most of the resources we have in school.  In some cases, clubs are run by external providers who make a charge for attendance.

Sporting and Outdoors Activities:

Children are introduced to Rugby, Football, Netball, Athletics, Tennis, Gym, Hockey and Cricket and where possible these games are conducted by qualified coaches. We regularly arrange matches against other schools and are involved in tournaments.

All pupils swim for a term at Walthamstow Hall School swimming pool and they take part in Forest School where they experience nature and the outdoor environment in a safe, secure and hands on way.

In Years 1 and 2 the children have the opportunity to learn ballet.  All pupils also learn Street Dancing with a qualified dance teacher.

In Years 3 and 4 the children take up Horseriding and in Years 5 and 6 they take up Biking.

For more information see our Sports Premium Funding page.

“..pupils and parents identified how much pupils benefit from the wide range of opportunities that the school offers. In particular the quality and range of sporting activities and clubs as well as the rich provision  for music throughout the school.”.. Ofsted 2016

Music and Drama:

Children participate in performances for parents and friends at the School, Walthamstow Hall’s Ship Theatre and in the Church. Kent Music School and our very own Music Specialist teacher provide the opportunity for pupils to undertake tuition on many instruments.

All pupils in Years 3 to 6 have the opportunity to join our school choir.

A Music Therapy club is run by our Music Specialist teacher on Tuesdays.
