So, as December approaches pupils and staff are busy preparing for Christmas. The singing for both the Nativity and the Carol Service is sounding spectacular. Mrs Shrubb is, as every year, stock-piling mince pies in readiness for refreshments at both these events!
Working in a primary school at this time of year is both gorgeous and stressful – in almost equal measure! Last week the choir sang beautifully at the turning on of the lights at Alice’s tea shop and next week they are singing to entertain the residents of Gloucester House. This weekend we have our Christmas fair and then the excitement of Christmas lunch next Wednesday. We pace ourselves to be ready for Miss Allen’s team to thrill us with the KS1 nativity and then be put into the Christmas mood with our Carol Service where the orchestra, choir and each class have their special moments to shine and entertain.
A Christmas disco in the church hall on the 15th and on the 19th the KS1 trip to the pantomime and KS2’s inter-house games competitions fill the last 2 days before we set about all thinking about Christmas with our families.
I wish you all a peaceful and fun-filled holiday when it arrives…maybe even a little snow, let’s hope!
